Scan it. Know it’s real.
Counterfeit and expired beauty is common, especially online. So we only buy from brands and the distributors they authorise, and we let you check every product yourself.
Nothing goes on sale without proof.
A product can only be listed on homeward if we hold the brand’s authorisation for that market, a compliance record (in Nigeria, a NAFDAC registration), and batch details for the actual units on our shelves. If any of that is missing, the product simply cannot be bought.
Five checks, in order.

Authorised sourcing only
We buy from the brand directly or from distributors the brand has authorised in writing for that market. No marketplaces, no grey-market traders, no “surplus” stock.
Lot and expiry scanned at goods-in
When stock arrives at our warehouses in the US, UK and Lagos, every lot number and expiry date is recorded before a unit can be sold.
Unverifiable lots are quarantined
If a lot number doesn’t match the brand’s records or paperwork is missing, the whole lot is set aside and the supplier is suspended until it’s resolved.
Shortest shelf life ships first
We pick the earliest-expiring stock first and never send products close to their expiry date.
A verify card in every parcel
Each shipment gets its own unguessable code. Scan the QR card to see exactly what was in your parcel and where it came from.
What the verify page shows you.
The code on the card links to a public page for your parcel. Anyone holding the card can check it, including the person you sent a gift to.
It shows
- Each product, brand and shade
- The batch (lot) number
- The source: brand-direct or authorised distributor
- The expiry date
- When it arrived in our stock
- In Nigeria, the NAFDAC registration number, with a link to check it
It never shows
- Your name, address or phone number
- What anyone paid
- Your order history or account

NAFDAC, on every product.
In Nigeria, every product we sell is registered with NAFDAC, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control. The number is on the product page and on the verify page, with a link to look it up yourself.
Checked every quarter.
- Quarterly 1% audit
- Each quarter we sample 1% of lots and check them against the brand’s reference product and records.
- Any mismatch
- Quarantines the whole lot, suspends the supplier and triggers a review of every order from that lot.
- Unusual scans
- If a verify code is scanned far more than expected, we flag it. That can mean a card is being copied.
- Tell us
- If anything about a product or a verify page looks wrong, write to [VERIFY EMAIL] and we reply within one working day.
